The team behind last year’s highly successful season of Aliens reunites with the Australia premiere ofJames Fritz’s Olivier Award-nominated play.

The Old Fitz Stage is set for the debut of James Fritz’s acclaimed production, with director Craig Baldwin overseeing this highly topical examination of technology and its varied effects on modern society.

Directly provoking that which we’ve come to take for granted, 4 Minutes 12 Seconds opens a dialogue on not only the relevance and detriment of technology, but also takes a broad look at its impact on family dynamics and the overarching social caste system. The narrative hinges on 17-year-old Jack, diligent and devoted in his academic pursuits, and imbued with opportunities not afforded to his parents. An unexpected, unsettling incident is the catalyst for this reflection on the darker side of technology and its unravelling of relationships.

Perfectly suited for the intensive confines of the Old Fitz Theatre performance space, Craig Baldwin’s talented cast includesKate Cheel (Spring Awakening, Masquerade), Felix Johnson (The Unknown Soldier, The Credeaux Canvas), Danielle King (Noises Off, The Libertine) and Jeremy Waters (The Aliens, A Man With Five Children).

4 Minutes 12 Seconds will run its season fromTuesday September 13 to Saturday October 8 at The Old Fitzroy Theatre. Bookings can be made atwww.oldfitztheatre.com/4mins12seconds/
