Glen Street Theatre have announced that the comedy Absent Friends will be running at the end of January.

The show, written by the nororiously dark-humoured Alan Aychbourn and directed by Mark Kilmurry, explores the trail and tribulations of married life when Diana and Paul invite a handful of friends around to comfort the bereaving old friend Colin.

The show features Darren Gilshenan and Michelle Doake, who have appeared on Rake and Puberty Blues respectively, as well as Richard Sydenham, Jessica Sullivan, Brian Meegan and Queenie Van De Zandt.

Absent Friends runs at Glen Street Theatre from Wednesday January 28 until Sunday February 1. Tickets are available through the venue.
