Alun Rhys Jones Takes On Modern Masculinity In His Dysmorphia Playground
In a world surrounded by advertisement of impossible bodies, Alun Rhys Jones' new exhibition brings this into focus in his highly detailed charcoal drawings.
His images of youthful, athletic male bodies are drawn onto shopping bags, where they inevitably fold and crumple, morphing and distorting the depictions.
Jones graduated from the National Art School in 2011 and has continued to make his mark all over the world in public and private collections since then.
His new exhibition, Dysmorphia Playground, will challenge the fashion industry's constant push for perfection in a skilful display from a home-grown talent.
The exhibition opens on Thursday November 24 at the Kensington Contemporary Art Gallery and will run until Sunday January 22.
