Experience the museum come to life every Wednesday as the doors stay open until 9pm and some special events take place.

Throughout January and February, the Australian Museum will be hosting its Culture Up Late initiative as part of the celebration of the 190th year of the museum.

There will be music from the likes of Georgia Mulligan, Marlene Cummins, triple j’s Zan Rowe and Alex Gostin, as well as hands-on science and the latest in virtual reality storytelling.

Other highlights include an Italian folk dancing workshop, a look into the Creepy Creature Zoo and lifesaving information from the Venom Lab, in conjunction with two-for-one entry to the musuem including theSpiders – Alive & Deadlyexhibit.

Culture Up Late starts on Wednesday January 4 and runs every Wednesday until February 22 from 5-9pm. For more information on the nights, head to the website.
