It’s only taken seven years, but The Pride has finally made its way Down Under.
The Pride, a theatrical exploration of sexual liberation and identity by Alexi Kaye Campbell, has been announced as part of Darlinghurst Theatre Company’s 2016 season, and will tie into this year’s Mardi Gras.
The play shifts back and forth between two distinct time periods – 1958 and the present day – and explores a diverse range of issues facing Oliver and Philip, the loving couple at the heart of the piece. Lovers of romantic, politically minded theatre, this one’s for you.
The Pride opens atEternity Playhouse on Friday February 5.
