The 61st Sydney Film Festival, beginning Wednesday June 4, has added five extra films direct from Cannes to its program.

The additional screenings bring the number of films showing at this year’s Sydney Film Festival to over 190. The new features are Cannes Palme d’Or winner Winter Sleep; Jury Prize winner Mommy; When Animals Dream; Ecumenical Jury Prize winner Timbuktu; and Special Jury Prize winner The Salt Of The Earth.

The new screenings are on sale now at sff.org.au. Sydney Film Festival runs from Wednesday June 4 until Sunday June 15.
