Cockatoo Island’s popular drinking hole is ending its run – but the good news is, it’ll be back at a different location soon.
The cultural icon that is The Island Bar on Cockatoo Island is set to relocate some time this year. The new venue has yet to be announced, but the last day at the current location has already been confirmed.
Though it’s certainly good that the venue won’t be gone for good, the location was always one of the major drawcards for the bar over its five years of life. Fingers crossed the next setting is as impressive as the last.
The Island Bar will close its current doors on Friday February 29, so those who want to experience the venue as it is should get in quick. More info can be found here.
