Belvoir Street Theatre has announced its latest play, Elektra/Orestes – a modern take on the age-old myth of the House of Atreus.

The House of Atreus, an Ancient Greek myth of familial and noble intrigue, featuring daughter sacrifice, patricide, revenge and counter-revenge, is a delightful romp that Anne-Louise Sarks and Jada Alberts have reconfigured into a modern, suburban setting. Elektra/Orestes will feature performers Hunter Page-Lochard (Orestes), Katherine Tonkin (Elektra), Ursula Mills (Chrysothemis), Ben Winspear (Aegisthus), and Linda Cropper (Clytemnestra) in this Hamlet-esque adventure.

Elektra/Oresteswill be on at Belvoir Street Theatre from Saturday March 14 to Sunday April 26. For the full deets, visit the website.
