Get into some good ol’ fashioned theatre as part of the 2016 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

The acclaimed G.bod Theatre company has just announced it will stage a new production of Frank Marcus’ landmarkplayThe Killing Of Sister George,in conjunction with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

The play, a darkly comic exploration of the place where private lives and public personas intersect, was many years ahead of its time when first produced in the 1960s. G.bod will be updating the work, although given it deals with the unravelling of a TV star, not much of a modern spin might be needed in our Kardashian-centric age.

The Killing Of Sister Georgewill kick off at King Street Theatre on Wednesday February 24, and will run through to Saturday March 12. More information is available on their website, here.
