Hunter Street: Colours, Textures, Ghosts is an exhibition by artist Phil Tamblyn depicting the architecture and character of Hunter Street.

What seems a regular street in the CBD has a vibrant history. From premiers to lunatics to bomb threats, Hunter Street’s past is scattered with dramatic intrigue.

The gorgeous paintings by Tamblyn will be accompanied by word panels as written by historian Dr Craig Wilcox. The word panels will provide valuable insight on the history of each building depicted, telling the stories of their occupants over the last two centuries.

Hunter Street: Colours, Textures, Ghosts will be on display at Pine Street Gallery in Chippendale from Wednesday June 3 – Saturday June 13.
