From acclaimed playwright Jane Bodie come two one-act plays that delve into the heart of modern relationships.

The only thing better than an encore is getting a second performance. Darlinghurst Theatre Company is bringing together two of Jane Bodie’s best inRide and Fourplay. InRide, two strangers wake up in bed together, naked and hungover, with only their hazily reconstructed memories to make sense of.Fourplayis a serendipitous story about four city-dwellers finding intimacy, friendship and love in unlikely places.

Director Anthony Skuse isreturning to Eternity Playhouse to direct the pair of Bodie’s works.FourplayandRidewere written independently of each other, but they complement each other beautifully. Both plays are concerned with how we negotiate our relationships and how we use language to conceal desires or needs as much as reveal them,” he says.

The season will run from Friday September 4 until Sunday October 4 at Darlinghurst Theatre Company’s Eternity Playhouse. Tickets and details can be found here.
