Jerry Seinfeld is coming to Sydney on an arena stand-up tour.

The tour will be his first national appearances since 1998.

“I love theAustralian attitude and personality,” he toldThe Herald Sun. “Australians are professional fun-havers. That’s the way I see Australians and that’s what comedy is. Let’s have some fun along the way around all of this other stuff that we have to do in life.”

Globally known and loved for his eponymous sitcom about nothing, Jerry Seinfeld’s career took off in 1981 after his first appearance onThe Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Eight years later, he teamed up with fellow comedian Larry David to create what was to become the most successful comedy series in the history of television:Seinfeld.

He’ll playFriday August 11 at ICC Sydney Theatre.Tickets on saleviaTicketekfrom November 14.
