Kate Gaul and Suzanne Millar, two of Australia’s most recognised and provocative theatre auteurs, bring a slew of plays and performances to KXT with theirInvisible Circusseason.

Invisible Circusis a coming-together of some of Australia’s most esteemed women in theatre, including AWGIE Award nominee and seven-time winnerNöelle Janaszweska, Jessica Tuckwell and Sunny Grace. Directors Cathy Hunt and Priscilla Jackman join Kate Gaul and Suzanne Millar in presenting this season of theatrical performances, featuring an impressive cast of Thomas Campbell, Naomi Livingstone, Jane Phegan and Kym Vercoe. Millar will also host a free series of readings, talks and open rehearsals at The Big Top, in which the developmental stages of new works are discussed and discovered, offering further insight into the formulative artistic methods, and ultimately an opportunity for an audience to see the creative process in motion.

With three full-length plays and a masterclass series on offer with leading female artists,Invisible Circus is an innovative contemporary space for women, challenging the trappings and concerns of necessarily-gendered discourse and direction in theatre and its respective genres.
