Kenzee Patterson’s exhibition A tree branches, so does a river focuses on two significant moments in Lismore’s history.

Two of Lismore’s most significant historical events, and the roles two of the artist’s ancestors played in their conception, will underline this new exhibition from Kenzee Patterson: the logging of red cedar in the Lismore region, along with the construction of the old Lismore Post Office clock tower.

Patterson’s steelsculptural forms representnot only our industrial desire to construct and destroy, relating to theclock tower’s iron belfry, but also the resultantdisruption of the intertwined and complex relationships of the region’s ecology.

The exhibition features at Lismore’s Vicki Fayle Gallery until Saturday December 3. For more information, visit the gallery website.
