The winner of the 2015Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize, Trent Mitchell, will open an exhibition of his work entitled AustraliaSeriously? later this month.
Queensland photographer Mitchell won the $50,000 prize for his work Boy In Boat.Now, the artist is opening his exhibition Australia.Seriously? at Paddington’s Juniper Hall, where selections from his body of work will be exhibitedfrom a collection of over 5,500 film exposures created during his travels across the country.
Mitchell has come to specialise in underwater, portrait, lifestyle and fashion photography with a raw sensibility, and his study of graphic design heavily influences his work.
