The look of Darlinghurst’s new drinking venue, Della Hyde, has been inspired in part by the films of Wes Anderson. Inner-city millenials rejoice!

Della Hyde will be able to hold 150 souls, and co-ownersBen Carroll and Hamish Watts are already promising live music and DJ sets throughout the upcoming months.

Of course, the Applejack Hospitality bar has already begun collating a mouth-watering cocktail list, with words like ‘cold-drip’ and ‘negroni’ sure to fire up the salivary glands of any self-respecting boozehound.

The emphasis isn’t only on the drinks, mind:chef James Privett, has assembled a menu that promises to be substantial enough for dinner while also providing the requisite bar snacks, albeit ones with a European and North African influence. No bowls of salted nuts, presumably.

Della Hyde is open now, and can be found at 34 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst. Its Facebook page can be accessed here.
