80 Minutes No Interval is a play that runs for 80 minutes and contains no interval. How’s that for helpful information?

80 Minutes No Interval, a new play from enfant terrible Travis Cotton, is set to hit the Old Fitz Theatre as part of its 2016 season. A self-referential piece centred around a theatre critic/failed novelist and his slow unravelling, the work combines biting postmodern satire with vicious dark comedy.

The Old Fitz production will be helmed by Cotton himself, and will see Ryan Johnson (ofINXS: Never Tear Us Apartfame) take the lead role. It’s sure to be a significant theatrical event, and at only 80 minutes (with no interval) aligns nicely with the famous Alred Hitchcock quote about the length of a work of art directly relating to the endurance of the human bladder.

80 Minutes No Interval hits the Old Fitz Theatre on Tuesday March 8 and runs through til Saturday April 9. Tickets are available from the Old Fitz website, here.
