107 Projects in Redfern will hostThe Big Bruise, an abstract show aiming to derail the glamourisation of suicide attempts in Australian culture.

This comes from director Saro Lusty-Cavallari and Montague Basement, an independent theatre collective who will mix vaudeville, physical comedy, and experimental theatre to presentThe Big Bruise.

The showwill place suicide and mental health front-and-centre, aiming to present an honest, relatable conversation over such explicit topics to derail the fetishisation of self-harm in Australian culture.

Running from Tuesday April 5 to Friday April 15, the production will be part one-man-show, part macabre magic show. Performer Sam Brewer will spearhead The Big Bruise, translating the psychology of suicide through monologue and physical performance.
