The work of Roger Ballen will feature in an exhibition titled Roger Ballen’s Theatre Of The Mindat the Sydney College of the Arts this March and April.

Coinciding with the 20th Biennale of Sydney and in what will be the South African photographer’s first major Sydney exhibition, it will feature 75 contemporary works created by Ballen over the last two decades (including his video for Die Antwoord’s ‘I Fink U Freeky’).

“For a long time Roger Ballen’s photography has trodden a path where others are too timid to tread, toying with our innermost dreams, nightmares and desires,” says Dean of SCA and curator of the exhibition, Professor Colin Rhodes.

Ahead of the exhibition, Ballen will present a public talk at SCA on Wednesday March 9.

Roger Ballen’s Theatre Of The Mindis showing at SCA Galleries from Wednesday March 16 to Saturday April 30. For more information head to the SCA Gallery website.
