It’s hard to believe that in almost 20 years of trading, Soho Art Gallery has never exhibited photography.

That’s all about to change, and its first-ever photography exhibition will be worth the wait. Somewhere In Jaffa by Australian photographer Nathan ‘Natti’ Miller will feature at the gallery as part of Head On Photo Festival 2015. The series of photos captures the essence of daily life in Jaffa, a vibrant region in Israel. The region is surprisingly contemporary and diverse, and Miller’s photography captures “moments and certain realities that are often not seen by others”.

Miller hopes that his gorgeous works “can transcend some of these cultural beauties as well as contribute to Australians’ overall understanding of Jaffa’s vivd cultural identity”.

Somewhere In Jaffa will show at Soho Art Gallery from Saturday May 9 – Friday June 5.
