A fundraiser with a difference.

With a fundraising target of $25,000 for its 2016 season, theSquabbalogic theatre group promisesMystery Musical #3 to bea one-off staged reading (and singing) of a top-secret musical theatre classic that has long been waiting in the wings.

Artistic director Jay James-Moody says, “The enthusiasm for ourMystery Musicals in 2015 was beyond our expectations of this curious idea. But theyhave become a much needed fundraiser for our seasons as we take steps to support our independent artists and work towards adequate wages for the sector, so we’re delighted audiences have been clamouring for more.”

No word yet for what the production will be, but Squabbalogic have hinted that this show will be of ’60s vintage, not unlike their previous productionsHello, Dolly and Bye Bye Birdie.

Mystery Musical #3plays the Seymour Centre on Monday February 29.
