Australian photojournalist Ilana Rose will be showing some of her works in conjunction with World Vision this May.

The exhibition will host an array of images that Rose has taken of mothers and women in impoverished communities around the world. The images tell stories of women who are pillars of their community; holding them together even in the harshest of conditions.

The exhibition, titled Strength In Adversity, comes as a part of Australia’s premiere photography festival Head On and captions for each photo will be written by well-known names such as Tim Costello and Melissa Doyle, who accompanied Rose on these journeys.

Check out her exhibition at The Depot Gallery in Waterloo between Tuesday May 12 and Saturday May 30.
