Now in its 11th year, Sydney Open gives the public the chance to step inside, above and beneath over 50 of Sydney’s most significant architectural and cultural buildings.
New to the program for 2015 is Frank Gehry’s Dr Chau Chak Wing Building at UTS, WW2 tunnels located beneath Hyde Park, and the iconic Clare Hotel and former Carlton United Breweries administration building. Architects and building owners will be onsite to offer information and their own first-hand knowledge of each of the sights.
Limited capacity sites include disused Platforms 26 and 27 at Central Station, the Central Station Clock Tower and behind-the-scenes tours of the Sydney Opera House. Tickets to these sites can only be obtained by purchasing a City Pass, putting attendees in the draw for a ‘Golden Ticket’.
