Bakehouse Theatre Company present’s the world premiere of His Mother’s Voice with Australian Theatre for Young People this June.

Justin Fleming’s latest play, based on a true story, follows the tumultuous chain of events set off as a mother defiantly teaches her son to play piano in Shanghai in 1966. Culminating in a confrontation between Canberra and Shanghai, this play explores the limits of love – romantic, familial and patriotic.

Directed bySuzanne Millar, this production forms part of the fresh and dynamic ‘ATYP Selects’ programme.

His Mother’s Voice will be running from Wednesday April 30 to Saturday May 17 at the The Wharf, with tickets available through the ATYP website.
