The inaugural Breakthrough Art Festival charity event is taking place over four days at Chippendale’s aMBUSH gallery.

The latest initiative of the NSW Cancer Council, Breakthrough Art Festival will showcase the work of some of Sydney’s most talented artists.

Artists were given a brief stating that their work must simply represent what hope means to them, and an overwhelming response has seen hundreds of artworks submitted for the exhibition.

Between Thursday May 12 and Sunday May 15 all submitted art will be available for purchase at the aMBUSH gallery, with entry free and sales going to the Cancer Council. The opening party will take place on the Thursday, and reservations are essential.

Reservations for the Breakthrough Art Festival opening party can be made here, with more information available from the official website.
