Six artists will take the lead and challenge your thinking at Vivid Ideas this year as part of Carnival of the Bold.

Their works and performances will be on a mission to evoke social change through pieces that highlight cultural awareness, indigenous rights, sexuality, gender equality, diversity, feminism, youth and marginalised communities. For one afternoon in June, these artists will attempt to inspire a deeper understanding and engagement around social issues.

The Carnival of the Bold 2015 lineup includes hip hop artist and writer Candy Bowers, cross-media artist Deborah Kelly, spoken word artist Luka Lesson, Japanese-Australian storyteller Mayu Kanamori, Indonesian-Australian performance maker Rani Pramesti and Arab-Australian filmmaker Fadia Abboud.

Carnival of the Bold will be held at the Museum of Contemprary Art on Saturday June 6 from 3pm. For tickets, visit the Vivid 2015 website.
