Come this weekend, the Clipped: Music Video Festival in partnership with Vivid is set to promote and celebrate the awe-inspiring talents of up-and-coming creatives in the music video industry.
Clipped has found its stride in being an event for creatives, music-lovers, filmmakers, fans and industry aficianados to unite for a weekend all about the music video. Its debut event is set to be a celebration of the art and technique of the music video, while aiding to identify the best emerging talent the field has got burgeoning at the seams.
Come Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11, Clipped will be hosting its awards nights, showcasing the creme de la creme of music videos and their intrepid creators. With awards spanning categories from animation to cinematography, directing and editing, the event is to be an eclectic mix of visionary creation to intrigue a broad spectrum of tastes.
Clipped will also see a competition, industry discussion panel featuring international and local speakers (including the renowned director Nigel Dick), screenings, an exhibition and an awards ceremony all rolled up into a weekend of incredible media.
CLIPPED: Music Video Festival runs from Friday June 10 – Monday June 13 at The Works Glebe, as part of Vivid Ideas 2016.
