A nightclub in Sydney’s Darling Harbour was the centre of a medical emergency last night after five of its patrons were taken to hospital with suspected drug overdoses.

As The Sydney Morning Herald reports, two male and four female patrons of the unnamed club were attended to by police and ambulance services at around 1:30am for suspected overdoses.

The four female patrons and one male patron were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, were all are reported to be in a stable condition at this stage. While their conditions are said to be non-life threatening, medical officers are hoping to speak with them in regards to what they took when they recover.

While the venue in question has not been named by any official sources, police officials have said the venue’s operators chose to close the doors early and evacuate attendees in order to assist with the medical response.
