After a little soul-searching in America, Darren Hanlon is now back at home and ready to reveal what he’s learnt from his overseas adventure.

Ever the travelling folk minstrel, Hanlon wrote all 12 songs from his forthcoming album while on trains, buses and in basements in America. He ended up recording the album in five different studios, with some well-known voices including David Hood, and some less famous voices – random people on the street. Before the album is released – slated for May – Hanlon will go on the road to play a series of intimate preview shows. Joining Hanlon will be long-time collaborator Adam Selzer, who’ll add to the experience with readings, songs and projections from his new graphic novel,Ami, Go Home.

Darren Hanlon is playing an all-ages show on Tuesday March 4 at Leichhardt Town Hall.
