The Dead Maggies are due to kick off their Australian tour in April.

Really quite typical Australians, The Dead Maggies are packing up their flannies, beer and instruments and venturing out of their home state of Tasmania to do a tour of the east coast of Australia.

Having recently returned from a tour of Europe and completed a very busy summer of appearances in Tassie, The Dead Maggies are excited to deliver their unique folk punk sound to the mainland, complete with guitar, banjo, fiddle, double bass, clarinet, accordion, drums and all six of their voices. The array of instruments allows the band to play highly energetic and exciting music that has been labelled by ABC Radio as “Tasmanian Convict Punk”.

With a brand like that, The Dead Maggies’ Folk Till You Punk tour is not to be missed.

The Dead Maggies will be playing at Hamilton Station in Newcastle with Spencer Scott on Wednesday April 15 and The Union Hotel in Sydney with The Bottlers on Thursday April 16.
