Dean Lewis’ breakout single ‘Waves‘ has been picked up by one of the USA network’s most popular shows, Suits.

The Sydney-based singer-songwriter is becoming a favourite amongst the US silver screen industry. The latest deal follows sync licenses for US TV series’ Riverdale and Shadow Hunters for the same track.

Acting as the soundbed for Harvey Specter’s backhanded remarks and Donna’s sharp wit (probably), an acoustic version of the song will feature in the mid-season finale of Season 7, in the episode titled “Donna”.

Since its release in September 2016, ‘Waves’ has achieved double Platinum certification, clocked up over 45 million streams globally, and spent this entire year in the ARIA top 40 Singles chart. It also peaked inside the Top 10 singles on Apple Music and Top 15 on Spotify.

Last month Dean Lewis completed his first headline shows in the US and Canada and is currently in the UK set to perform shows in London and Europe.

Next month, Lewis will return home for a national tour in support of his current single ‘Lose My Mind’ through November and December.
