Start saving up your pennies for a case of tinnies at Dan Murphy’s, the countdown to Meredith is officially on.
The first act for the 2014 Meredith has been revealed in The War on Drugs. Having recently slayed it on The Late Show With David Letterman (see below), earlier this year the Philadelphian outfit released their latest studio album Lost In The Dream, which our reviewed detailed as “an odyssey of reverb-soaked Americana laced with electronic tones and underpinned by a subtle but inescapable sense of sorrow.”
They will play on the Friday night of the festival.
The 2013 incarnation of Meredith saw the capacity of the festival reduced by 500 attendees, which will be reinforced this year. You can register for the ticket ballot here.
The 2014 Meredith Music Festival will take place from Friday December 12 – Sunday December 14. Expect to see the full lineup mid-August. Read our review of the 2013 Meredith here.
