1. Growing Up
We’ve all had hectic/epic upbringings, it’s a big reason why we exist as a band – we have a story to tell and a message to impart with people. Life has taught us that being true to yourself is the only way you’ll get through. If music is not your a, b and c plan, then don’t do it.
2. Inspirations
We all come from different musical backgrounds, so everything that inspires us is different, we kinda meet in the middle. Life inspires us and the current way the world is heading inspires us to head in the opposite direction.
3. Your Band
Brett Stokes (bass), Skarlett Saramore (drums) and Ray Lalotoa (guitar and vocals). We were all lost in a crazy world before we met. We are soulmates. This band is our life. The end.
4. The Music You Make
Generally speaking, our sound kinda sits in the middle of four bands: Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, Sonic Youth and Bloc Party. If you like any one of those bands then you will dig what we do. If you like all four bands then we are kindred spirits.
5. Music, Right Here, Right Now
So many bands are killing it in Sydney right now. Just off the top of my head; The Rumours, The Dark Hawks, The Owls, Elegant Shiva, Katnip, Chicks Who Love Guns, Bec And Ben, Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun, Angry Beige and so much more!
Fait Accompli play alongside The Owls and Katnip at the Captain Cook Hotel’s official live music launch night on Wednesday November 6. Sailor Jerry, Coopers Pale Ale, Reschs, tacos and sliders are all on the house.
