Eglo Records’ FunkinEven will make his second appearance Down Under and play side-by-side with Sydney’s own Dro Carey for the next instalment of the Resident Advisor ‘VS’ series, which is slotted for Friday November 29 at The Civic Underground.

FunkinEven first made his mark through his output on Eglo Records, and has subsequently collaborated with Fatima and Kyle Hall under the name FunkinEvil, accumulating a body of work that traverses funk, R&B and electro soundscapes. Meanwhile, local producer Eugene Hector, AKA Dro Carey, makes music that incorporates everything from techno and house to R&B, rap, juke and grime, with his ‘Journey With The Heavy’ EP attracting comparisons to “myriad Moodymann B-sides” from Resident Advisor.

With both headliners possessing a penchant for experimentation and exploration, the night will cover a broad spectrum of sounds. Presale tickets can be bought online for $25.
