Britain’s Obaro Ejimiwe, AKA Ghostpoet, will play Oxford Art Factory this Friday September 13.

After being scouted by Gilles Peterson, Ghostpoet made an immediate impact with his Mercury Prize nominated debut album Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam. Boasting a distinct style that sits somewhere between MC and performance poet, Ghostpoet returns to Australia following the release of his new album, Some Say I So I Say Light, which he describes as sounding “almost like a glossy record that’s been thrown down a ravine and scratched and roughed up a bit”.

Support will come courtesy of Melbourne impresario Oscar Key Sung, who initially made his mark as one half of Oscar ‘N’ Martin and has previously supported the likes of Four Tet, Metronomy and Gotye.
