In keeping with the wizarding world’s magical but primitive technology, you’ll soon be able to pick up the scores to the first five Harry Potter flicks in a brand new vinyl box set.

Bringing together three Harry Potter soundtracks by film icon John Williams, who scored the opening trilogy, the box will also feature Patrick Doyle’s Goblet of Fire tracks, as well as the Order of the Pjhoenix compositions by Nicholas Hooper, Pitchfork reports.

Interestingly, the Goblet of Fire soundtrack includes some great cameos, with Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Phil Selway having joined with Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker and Steve Mackey to form a wizarding supergroup and deliver a handful of songs.

The Harry Potter soundtracks are on their way on November 17, just in time for Christmas, while Sydneysiders will also be able to catch the third and final John Williams-scored Harry Potter film, Prisoner of Azkaban, being screened live at the Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra playing along live.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, with the gigs set to take place in April next year, so check out the details here, and to get geared up for the incoming Harry Potter musical deluge, check out this great video below, which tracks the evolution of the unforgettable ‘Hedwig’s Theme’ in the movies throughout the years.
