There’s a stirring in Sydney… we can hear something moving in the dark, shuffling across the floor, and letting out a gut-wrenching groan. It can’t be – isn’t the Cross supposed to be dead!?

Not quite – as the Kings Cross Hotel and Keep Sydney Open are making clear on Halloween, it’s very much alive, hosting a huge evening of tunes and costumed revelry curated by Purple Sneakers DJs, with Bad Deep DJs, FlexMami, We Snitched and more reanimating the beloved party spot.

Joey Hunter, ROOF, Meare, venus, Isa and Denzel Sterling (Sidechains) round out the night, keeping the tunes pumping from 9pm to 3am, with music playing on every level.

The place will also be decked out with suitably spooky decor and all sorts of Halloween surprises, including a secret room that the venue has never shown to the public, to seek out if you dare. Costumes, meanwhile, are definitely encouraged – although a red wine spill down your shirt doesn’t count as ‘blood’.

It all kicks off on Saturday October 28 from 9pm, and tickets are only $10 when booked online, so head to the event page to check it out and be there when The Cross becomes undead.
