Come, said the fans. For the first time in 24 years, iconic Aussie rockers Mondo Rock are hitting the road for a national tour with a classic lineup not seen since the Summer of ‘81.

Coinciding with the 33rd anniversary of the band’s breakthrough album Chemistry, Ross Wilson, Eric McCusker, James Black, Paul Christie and Gil Matthews will be reliving the 80s over again when they reunite this June to take on several shows across Australia.

Featuring a performance of the Chemistry album in full as well as rarities, album favourites and hits including ‘No Time’, ‘Fugitive Kind’ and ‘Come Said The Boy’, fans can expect a two-hour blast from the past.

Sharing his thoughts on the tour, lead singer Wilson declared, “Getting back together with the original Chemistry-era Mondo Rock members, I imagine, is like when war veterans get back together – ‘You had to be there, no-one else understands,’ kind of thing. And then when we do reunite, we’ll raise all kinds of musical hell”.

Mondo Rock hit the State Theatre on June 27. Tickets go on sale Friday February 21 via Ticketmaster.
