The late master is set to be honoured by a range of local artists.

Take it as a sign of what a long, painful slog 2016 has been that Sydney Festival will feature not one but two tributes to lost geniuses. Along with theLet’s DanceDavid Bowie event, a free-for-all dance fest set to honour the Starman, the 2017 iteration of the fest will also featureTower Of Song, a tribute to the music of Leonard Cohen.

The celebration of the legend will be led by Mikelangelo, the famed Cohen interpreter who will drawl and rumble his way through the man’s final album,You Want It Darker. Also appearing will be Steve Kilbey, Jack Ladder, Broads and more, making this a very special event indeed.

Tower Of Song will hit the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent on Saturday January 14. For more information, head to the Sydney Festival website, here.
