American hard rockers Baroness haven’t performed in Australia since appearing at Soundwave in 2014 but now they’re back with a much anticipated debut headline tour.

Formed in 2003, the Georgia four-piece slugged it out on the local Savannah scene while adhering to a DIY punk ethic, booking their own tours and silk-screening their own shirts.

Over their 13-year history, Baroness have released a colourful assortment of albums, specifically the Red Album, Blue Record, Yellow & Green and most recently, Purple. They are renowned for their dynamic live shows highlighted by lead singer John Dyer Baizley’s extensive head-banging segments.

Baroness will unleash on the Metro Theatre on Wednesday December 7.
