It seems like the only thing that people in the music world are talking about right now is the new Gorillaz album, but considering we’ve been treated to a preview ofthe star-studded lineup of guests on the album, andthe fact we saw a total offournew songs dropped yesterday, it’s sort of understandable that Gorillaz are the main topic of conversation.

AsConsequence Of Soundreports, Gorillaz took the stage in London only a few hours ago to play a secret show for fans. The location gig, the band’s first in five years, was kept completely secret, revealed only to those who had managed to buy tickets from the group’s website.

Gorillazused the gig as an opportunity to perform their new album in full for the first time, complete with guest vocals delivered by way of video screen contributions, in addition to Noel Gallagher and Jehnny Beth from Savages joining for a performance of ‘We Got The Power’. However, fans were also treated to a few extra hits thanks to the group’s encore performances.

Following the 14 song main set, the group also performed ‘Kids With Guns’, ‘Feel Good Inc.’, and ‘Clint Eastwood’ as part of their first encore. The group’s second encore saw them perform ‘Don’t Get Lost In Heaven’, and ‘Demon Days’, the title track of their second album, whichis getting a vinyl reissue pretty soon.

The group also streamed a bunch of the songs on their Facebook account as well, which you can view below. Undoubtedly, seeing these songs performed live is just making us keen as ever for Gorillaz to make a return to Australia as soon as possible.
