Legendary Australian musician and politician Peter Garrett is heading out on to the road ahead of his forthcoming solo album.

The string of intimate shows will see Garrett play smaller clubs and theatres for the first time since Midnight Oil’s watershed pub rock era.

“Getting up close and physical is what live performance is all about,”said Garrett. “Being back on stage and playing these new songs will be a blast.”

Throughout this tour the iconic frontman will be backed by an all-star band that he’s christened The Alter Egos. The lineup features Martin Rotsey from the Oils on guitar, Mark Wilson from Jet on bass, Peter Luscombe (Rockwiz, Paul Kelly, Black Sorrows) on drums and Rosa Morgan (Red Ghost) on keys.

Catch him at The Factory Theatre on Thursday August 11. Tickets through his website.
