This wasn’t the preparation Fanny Lumsden had in mind ahead of her massive shows at Tamworth Country Music Festival this year.
The youthful star of Aussie country songwriting landed in Tamworth ahead of the festival, which begins this weekend, but a nasty surprise awaited her when her beloved acoustic guitar came off the plane.

It’s not the first musical instrument to be broken courtesy of the people of Qantas, and it surely won’t be the last. But for the ARIA and Golden Guitar nominated Lumsden, any recompense may come too late to help her at Australia’s biggest country music fest.
