Sydney’s own genre-benders Sticky Fingers will go on an “indefinite hiatus” following their summer festival commitments.

The news follows Sticky Fingers’ previously documented time away in 2015, when they cancelled a string of UK and European tour dates citing the stresses of touring.

The psych-reggae-rock-poppers have become local legends since their inception in 2008, establishing a tradition of selling out shows at the Enmore Theatre without even announcing them outside Facebook events.

They are due to play the Beyond The Valley and Lost Paradise festivals over New Year’s, as well as Tasmania’s Party In The Paddock in February.
