Vivid LIVE, the Sydney Opera House’s program of contemporary music held as part of Vivid Sydney each year, has just gotten even bigger.

Following the recent announcement of an artist lineup that includes Anohni, Bon Iver, New Order and many more, the festival is now stretching beyond just live music, with the Vivid LIVE Artist Talks series allowing fans to get up close and personal with their favourite acts.

Festival headliner Anohni will appear in conversation with Australian installation artist Lynette Wallworth in a talk about “our fragile connection to the natural world and each other”.

In another in-demand event, the popularSong Exploderpodcast will host a live recording with Hiatus Kaiyote, as frontwoman Nai Palm talks about her band’s Grammy-nominated songs.

And the influential late ’80s and early ’90s period of Manchester’s music scene will be covered as New Order feature in a public conversation with filmmaker and producer Mark Reeder, plus a chinwag between rock journalist Paul Morley and formerNMEphotographer Kevin Cummins discussing that famous musical city.
