In a free celebration of the history and legacy of live music in Kings Cross, more than 40 Australian artists will come together during ARIA Week to perform at the Ignite: Heat The Street event.

Following a similar event to launch this year’s Sydney Fringe Festival on Crown Street in Surry Hills, this time the venues of Kings Cross will open up to free gigs by the likes of M-Phazes, KLP, The Potbelleez, Playwrite, Emma Birdsall, Milan, Sun Rai (Rai Thistlethwayte) and many more.

Ignite: Heat The Street is a collaboration between ARIA Week, the Live Music Office, the City of Sydney and APRA AMCOS, and includes participating venues The X Studio, Uliveto, Goldfish, Barrio Chino, Crane Bar, Kings Cross Hotel, Kit & Kaboodle, Sugarmill Hotel, New Hampton, The Bourbon and The World Bar.

Update: Gossling leads the second announcement of participating artists, joined by Tiaan, Morgan Evans, Hydraulix and many more.

Ignite takes over Kings Cross on the afternoon of Sunday November 23.
