For those not yet on board, Perth musician Dan Cribb is currently nine months into his year-long musical tribute to The Simpsons, ‘Worst Tribute Ever’, in which he covers a different song from the series each month.

Polish Club’s David Novak has joined him for this month’s selection: the haunting ’60s-sounding protest tune, ‘Union Strike Folk Song’.

It’s the plaintive folk song Lisa sings out the front of the power plant in season four’s Last Exit To Springfield.

“David’s voice is next level and it’s so awesome to hear it on this stripped-back song,” Cribb explains.

“When I initially approached him about the project, he brought up Dental Plan/Lisa Needs Braces, which is from the same episode and how Union Strike Song came into the equation. Stay tuned as that line will make an appearance later in the project.”
