Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings have announced they will be bringing their soul live show to Australian stages this September.

Last year, while preparing to release their album, Give The People What They Want, Sharon Jones was diagnosed with cancer. The scheduled release and touring were immediately put on hold while all efforts were shifted to her treatment and recovery. Now Sharon is back, joining her Dap-Kings and heading back to Australia.

On this tour they’ll play some very special old school dancehall type shows in iconic theatres and town halls in major cities across the country, kicking off in Brisbane and finishing eight shows later in Melbourne.

Support on the tour will come from big band The Bombay Royale and soul duo Saun & Starr making their Australian debut.

Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings will bring the soul to Sydney Town Hall on Saturday September 13. Tickets go on sale Friday July 4 through Oztix.
