While the iconic So Fresh compilations are still being made to this day, those aren’t what we think of when we hear the name, instead thinking back to the ones many of us had permanently lodged in our CD players in the ’00s.

It seems we’re not the only ones, as a 2000s-drenched So Fresh night is set to descend on Sydney in a couple of months’ time, filling The Hudson Ballroom (formerly the beloved Goodgod Small Club, then Plan B Small Club) with the sounds of Ashanti, Usher, Mary J Blige, Ja Rule and more for the second edition of the venue’s ‘2000s House Party’.

You’ll probably want to be a Destiny’s Child fan for this one though, as while the “RnB classics and party jams” will be flowing, a large portion of the evening will apparently be devoted to Queen Bey & Co, with DC-themed drinks and decorations.

Throwback parties are clearly all the rage these days, with many prospective clubbers passing up today’s hits for the RnB bangers of yesteryear, but maybe we’re not blinded by nostalgia, and the songs actually were just better back then…?

If you’re looking to relive the glory days of Britney vs. Christina, it all goes down from Friday August 18, and you can check out the event here.
