You may have noticed your various social media feeds filling with Games of Thrones-inspired excitement yesterday, due to the season seven opener.

Perhaps you even escaped to a dark whiskey bar to avoid all the hype. If you happened to choose Redfern’s Mjolner bar, boy did you choose wrong, as the viking-themed bar was the site of a pop-up appearance by string quartet Accent Strings, who performed the opening theme to the show to a surprised, whiskey-soaked audience.

The stunt was engineered by new gig platform Six8 which basically adopts the Air BnB principal for booking shows. Not quite sure how the Game of Thrones tie in works, but it was certainly a nice way to slide into the new Sheeran-heavy season.
